Enterprising Hartlepool is a project developed
by a steering group
of new entrepreneurs assisted by Business Link Tees
Valley and
Hartlepool Borough Council.
Enterprising Hartlepool are a group of new business
entrepreneurs encouraging intertrade among their members,
offering mutual support and improving communication
between small businesses in the town.
We want to generate a real buzz in the wider, regional
business community about the individuals and small businesses
thriving within the borough.
We are comprised of new startups, people with new business
ideas right through companies who have now been established
for two or three years. All group members know the many
pitfalls and perils of working 18 hour days just to
establish our ideas in the marketplace.
We do this with the support of our families and friends,
and in Enterprising Hartlepool we aim to gather together
and grow a network of small businesses in Hartlepool
to encourage business friendship and support to make
our ideas really work.
Hard work is not a problem, commitment to our business
dreams are not a problem, but we realise that as a group
we can gain influence over decision makers in the town,
support each other with contacts and orders and by referring
other businesses to our network.
We can be isolated as new business entrepreneurs, but
together we can create a web of creative energy that
can take us all forward and make the new Hartlepool
of the 21st century a thriving, enterprising area where
small businesses are much more likely to succeed rather
than fail.
We are a mixture of limited companies, partnerships
and sole traders some with one or two part-time or full-time
employees, and a few with a handful of people working
for their company.
If you fit that category, are more likely to wear suits
only for meetings, work all hours to establish and make
yours a bigger and better business, then we would like
you to be part of our growing informal web of entrepreneurs
in Enterprising hartlepool.
